Garolite G-10

A glass-fiber and epoxy composite laminate built specifically for electrical insulation and dimensional stability.

Example: machined Garolite G-10

What is it?

A glass-fiber and epoxy composite laminate built specifically for electrical insulation and dimensional stability, not general mechanical use.

Key behavior

Outstanding electrical insulation, almost no water absorption, and strong dimensional stability — an electrical-engineering material more than a structural one.

Why choose it

Circuit boards, terminal boards, and structural insulators where electrical properties are the deciding factor.

Applications

Printed circuit boards, electrical terminal boards, structural insulators.

Machining notes

Highly abrasive to standard tooling — requires solid carbide or diamond-coated tools to avoid rapid tool wear. Insulation plates, terminal boards and busbar separators are normally CNC milled from sheet.
