PMMA (Acrylic)

A clear engineering plastic molded for parts where optical clarity is the priority.

Example: molded PMMA (Acrylic)

What is it?

A transparent engineering plastic offering strong optical clarity at lower cost than polycarbonate.

Key behavior

High light transmission and optical clarity, though more brittle than PC under impact.

Why choose it

Clear parts where optical performance matters more than impact resistance.

Applications

Tail lamp lenses, light guides, display screens, cosmetic containers.

Processing notes

Draft angle is especially important for clear parts, to avoid ejection scuffing that would show through the finish.
