A dry, electrostatically applied and oven-cured coating that gives parts a thick, durable, colored finish.

What is Powder Coating?

A dry finishing process where powdered paint is electrostatically applied to a part, then cured under heat to melt and fuse into a continuous, durable colored coating.

How it works

The part is given an electrical charge and powdered coating material is sprayed on — the charge makes the powder cling evenly to the surface, including into corners and recesses that liquid paint often misses. The coated part is then baked in an oven, which melts the powder into a smooth, continuous film.
