Molten metal is forced into a steel die at high pressure, filling thin walls before the shot cools. Best for intricate geometry at production volume.
Metal is fed into the mold with gentle gas pressure rather than a high-speed shot. Slower fill, better dimensional control — the pick for larger or thicker parts.
Cold chamber handles alloys with a high melting point, aluminum is the common case. Hot chamber runs faster and suits low-melting-point alloys like zinc.
Simulation and mold-flow analysis support design decisions before tooling is cut, catching fill and cooling issues early.
