What is Light Texture (MT11010 Equivalent)?

A subtle, sand-like surface texture, the lightest of the three texture grades offered, for parts that want a cosmetic finish or a bit of added grip without being aggressive about it.

How it works

A fine texture is etched into the silicone mold cavity before casting, matched to the standard MT11010 mold-texture equivalent, which transfers as a light surface grain onto the cast part.

Benefits

• Softens the look of a part compared to raw matte or gloss
• Hides minor surface imperfections and parting lines better than a smooth finish
• Adds a small amount of grip without feeling rough

Applications

Consumer housings wanting a soft-touch cosmetic surface, and prototypes standing in for a lightly textured production mold finish.
