What is Tumbling?

A mass-finishing process that deburrs parts and breaks sharp edges by rotating them together with abrasive media in a barrel or vibratory bowl.

How it works

Parts and abrasive media are loaded together into a rotating barrel or vibratory bowl. The tumbling action wears down burrs and sharp edges through repeated contact between the parts and the media, evening out edges across a full batch at once rather than part by part.
